Hotrod S

Hotrod S was second out of all the Australian Hanoverian foals classified for 2013 and was the top colt. Hotrod S was assessed by Dr Ludwig Christmann ( the German assessor who officiated at the Australian Hanoverian Classification Tour )

The following is an extract from the German Hanoverian Magazine June 2013

"A colt ( Hotrod S ) by Hotline/Rascalino followed closely. This youngster impressed with his long legs, his good frame and his powerful movement. "

Hotrod S is by Hotline the Hanoverian licensing winner at the stallion performance test in Verden in 2006. One of his offspring Horizon sold for 550,000 Euro at the PSI Auction. He has many licensed sons. At 8 years old he won the Prix St Georges at the Danish Licensing at Herning and masters the complete Grand Prix program,

Hotlines' bloodlines are from Gribaldi on one side who is the father of Totilas, and De Niro on the other side - one of the great dressage sires of our time.

His mother is by Rascalino by Rotspon. Her bloodlines are from the black stallion Rubinstein on one side and Weltmeyer on the other.

Rotspon scored 9 for character, temperament, and canter , 8 for confirmation and jumping and 9-10 for ridability.

• Hotrod S is a Hanoverian gelding and has an impressive pedigree descended from the top of successful European Dressage Sires.
• He has been assessed as the best Australian Hanoverian colt classified in 2013.
• His grandmother and great grandmother were Hanoverian Elite Mares.

Dam line

Weltmeyer was the 1986 winner of the stallion licensing in Verden, and the 1987 winner of the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf. In the same year Weltmeyer also won the three-year-old stallions classification at the Federal Championships of German Riding Horses in Warendorf. In 1988 he was honored in Verden as best stallion of his age-group and awarded with the "Freiherr von Stenglin-Prize". One year later he became DLG Champion 1989 in Frankfurt. And last but not least he became "Hanoverian Stallion of the Year" in 1998. As of today, Weltmeyer has produced 70 licensed sons, all of them are excellent stallions.

A study of the pedigrees of many internationally prominent Hanoverian dressage horses reveals that many are either by sons of Weltmeyer or out of one of his daughters.

Rascalino is by the most admired stallion Rotspon who won his performance test in 1995. Rotspon now has 2 licensed sons standing at Celle, Rascalino and Royal Blend who have all shown very high dressage ability at their performance tests. Rotspon from the very beginning met the very high expectations of Celle for his breeding career.

He already has 15 licensed sons and 104 state premium mares in Germany, and his youngsters show their superior mind and talent for dressage ability.

Numerous Rotspon progeny have enriched the foal auctions and riding horse auctions in Verden. Romanze, the champion mare of the 2002 Ratje-Niebuhr Show in Verden is undoubtedly the highlight of Rotspon’s state premium mares to date

 

Sire : Hotline

Hotline is an excellent riding horse maker. He himself continues to confirm the ability that he proved as the Hanoverian licensing winner in 2005 and stallion performance test winner in 2006. Since then, numerous progeny have been sold at riding horse auctions and enjoy great popularity amongst riders.

Nine sons are already licensed and Sirikit was the 2010 Champion mare in Denmark. The progeny have brought this sire the highly secure breeding value of 141 points according to FN's estimated breeding value statistics in 2013.

Hotline has competed successfully up to advanced (S) level, at the age of seven became Danish Champion and when he was eight-years old he won for example a Prix St. Georges at the Danish licensing in Herning. Since then he has won Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special tests at international competitions.

The sire Hofrat was Reserve Champion of the Trakehner licensing in Neumünster in 2000, was later successful up to Intermediaire I level and produced five licensed sons.

 

The dam’s sire De Niro, amongst others winner of the German Dressage Derby and multiple winner in  Grand Prix classes, is the reigning Number 1 of the WBFSH ranking for dressage sires. In 2008 De Niro became Hanoverian Stallion of the Year.

The grand dam Waleska produced in combination with Akzent II outstanding dressage horses such as the Bundeschampion Alabaster (State Stud Celle) and auction highlight Atachi W.
