Beethoven S

Beethoven S is by Bertoli W whose father is Breitling W and has the bloodlines of the famous German stallions Bismarck and Bolero. His mother is from Lauries Crusader, Donnerhall and Pik Bube. He has a double cross to Bolero from both his mother and fathers side.
Bertoli W whilst relatively young scored over 70% at Grand Prix Bertoli father, Breitling W is one of the best producers of top dressage horses in Europe. He has not produced a large number of foals as his then owner Wolfram Wittig did not make his semen widely available outside his own horses. In spite of this Breitling was the 2009 FN Breeding index leader with a score of 172 points. He is known for producing top moving and trainable offspring. His licensed sons include Berkley W, Benvenuto W, Bertoli W, and Brioni W. His has 13 advanced dressage horses from his first prodigy. Amongst them Blind Date and many other top level dressage competitors.
His mother is by Louis Ferdinand one one side who is is campaigned by the top American dressage rider Jan Ebeling. Louis Ferdinand is a cross between the bloodlines of Lauries Crusader and Bolero both sires instrumental in the modern dressage horse. On the other side of his mothers bloodlines is Donnerhall and Pik Bube two of the classic German dressage producers.
Beethoven was imported in Utero from Germany and born on our stud in the lush orchard area of Mangrove Mountain. He was broken in as a 3 year old, and then put out to paddock for a year, and has recently been brought in and is going nicely under saddle. Beethovens' mother La Donna is from the legendary stallion Donnerhall who is almost peerless in the world of dressage sires having enjoyed success like no other. He had a stellar career as a dressage horse, winning some of the most prestigious competitions, including over 65 FEI Grand Prix Dressage classes, World and he was also named Oldenburg Stallion of the Year in 1998. Donnerhall was a hugely influential sire with some of his most notable offspring including Don Primero Champion 5-year at the 1990 Bundeschampionate and now a Grand Prix horse, Don Schufro who was part of the bronze medal winning Danish team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, De Niro the 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year and Davignon who gained record scores at the Bundeschampionate before going on to become a Grand Prix horse. In addition to this Donnerhall has fathered a huge 77 licensed stallions.

Lauries Crusador is now proving himself as a sire of brood mares. The champion of the 2000 Hanoverian licensing, Don Crusador (by Donnerhall) is out of a daughter of Lauries Crusador.
He is the sire of 61 state’s premium mares and the results from the mare performance tests confirm his high dressage rating, with an average of 134.

Bolero has become known as a symbol for the modern riding horse and is a classic example of the refining influence the Thoroughbred has had on the modern Hanoverian. Although three-quarter Thoroughbred himself, he retained the quality and movement of his Hanoverian ancestors.
Bolero stood at stud for only nine years yet has to his credit 51 approved stallions, 73 States Premium mares and numerous top dressage horses. He continues to influence the international dressage rings through his offspring who include champion dressage horses such as Baryshnikov, Beauvalais, Bini Bo, Bismark, Boccaccio and Brentano I as well as the champion stallions Brentano II, 2003 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year.
